The recent crash of a US Airways jetliner into the frigid waters of the Hudson River with all 155 passengers and crew surviving last Thursday was a 'miracle'. The cause of the crash was attributed to a flock of birds that collided with the plane over New York.
According to the FAA, planes have hit birds nearly 80,000 times from 1990 to 2007. In more than 9,000 cases, the damage was serious and eleven people have died. Armen Keteyian reports.
